What To Expect
The Process Technician supports manufacturing operations by sustaining and optimizing mechanical and chemical processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and safety. This role involves monitoring equipment, troubleshooting out-of-control processes, and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Qualify new equipment and processes
- Manage non-conforming materials
- Drive continuous improvement through yield enhancement, scrap reduction, and Lean/5S initiatives
- Perform routine equipment repairs
- Support line configuration
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols
Responsibilities
Provide daily coverage of production line processes for smooth operations, responding promptly to out-of-control processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity
- Work closely with process engineers to develop assembly processes and author/train Associates on new or revised manufacturing instructions
- Investigate and implement countermeasures to enhance process Cpk and product yield
- Conduct experiments and analyze data under the guidance of process engineers, including but not limited to Design of Experiments (DOE) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R)
Requirements
Lead disposition of non-conformance materials produced by the production line, escalating issues to the Production Engineering team as necessary
- Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives, managing parts and tools inventory, executing repairs and troubleshooting precisely according to instructed processes, and managing workload proactively with a positive attitude to assist co-workers
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
