Process Technician

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation in assigned production process.
• Makes machine setups, quality inspections, documentation, and maintains organization and housekeeping around machines or equipment.
• Sets and monitors machine operation controls.
• Maintains machine/process equipment instrumentation during operation.
• Keeps process conditions within control.
• Prepares assigned paperwork and enters data into computer systems as necessary.
• Performs quality inspections.
• Participates in correcting and improving product quality and efficient machine operation.
• Ensures cleanliness of assigned work area and assigned machine.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Able to push/pull up to 1,500 lbs. using a wheeled cart.
• Willingness to work in other areas of the plant when needed to help plant operations.
• Ability to work 12.25 hour rotating day/night shift in a tobacco and smoke-free environment.
• Ability to work required, mandatory overtime.
• Able to work in hot temperatures at times.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

Skills

• Ability to operate a forklift (preferred).
• Manufacturing experience (preferred).

Sample Work Schedule

Depending on fluctuations in sales and production schedules, there may be mandatory overtime on the weekends. Sample schedule provided below:

Pay

Salary: $22.26/hour. Candidates with strong production experience may be able to start at $26.45/hour!
