The Role

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Process Technician to work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

This position supports all products produced in the machining departments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily Manufacturing floor support
  • Creation of programs for new products
  • Maintain DNC with proven, best practice programs
  • Provide training for Operators to run good quality parts
  • Support initiatives and training for corrective actions
  • Quality and technical support to internal and external customers
  • Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Process troubleshooting to ensure quality product is machined
  • Complete initial set up of jobs on varying machines

Location

  • Sidney, NY
  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary

$50,000 - $75,000

The Person

  • Technical or associate degree is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in machining
  • Must have knowledge of Programming CNC machines and some Conventional experience
  • Proficient with the setup and operation of conventional as well as CNC machines to produce aluminum and steel parts
  • Familiar with technical drawings and precision measurement devices
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision and lead teams
  • Participate in projects for all aspects of the connector business

  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Use of a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Possible travel domestic or overseas
