Impact
As a Process Technician at Lam, you are a vital part of the team actively supporting process development, product development, and research and development (R&D). You’ll set up processing equipment, conduct technical tests and experiments, process test runs, and present findings to optimize yield. Your technical expertise supports process development, contributing to Lam’s commitment to innovation. In this role, you will directly contribute to The Deposition Group.
Responsibilities
- Supports Process Engineers in preparation for wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) tests, equipment setup, experiments, data collection, and sample submissions.
- Operates processing equipment and advanced tools with recipes defined by engineering teams to collect experiment results, capture measurements (e.g. thin film, CD, wafer disposition performance) and chemistry properties analysis.
- Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and schematics of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield optimization areas.
- Provides technical assistance to process development teams and process engineers.
- Assists in technical troubleshooting and improvement opportunities of the application lab tools and experiment setups.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of related experience.
- Associate's degree in technical field, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in semiconductors, electronics, chemistry, mechanical, or related field.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE), cleanroom suit, or smock.
- Foundational communication skills, reading and writing, in English.
- Ability to work a shift schedule.
Work Location
Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories:
- On-site Flex: You’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.
- Virtual Flex: You’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
