Process Tech Blow Molding - 3rd shift

Starting wage: $25.00–$28.00 per hour. Wage negotiable above starting range with blow-mold specific processing and technical experience. Availability for third shift is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mold and fixture preventive maintenance.
  • Set up, test, and document new tools and materials to produce acceptable product.
  • Maintain fixture and secondary equipment in working order.
  • Change mold inserts and secondary equipment inserts/nesting as required.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot secondary equipment problems.
  • Store and document molds and fixtures.
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude with coworkers, employer, customers, and suppliers.
  • Uphold a strong desire to learn new and changing technologies.
  • Stand and walk for periods of eight hours at a time.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs; use good judgment in selecting methods and equipment.
  • Perform part-quality inspections with clear near (12 in) and far (20 ft) vision; corrective lenses must be worn if required.
  • Communicate clearly with others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems/controls.
  • High level of mechanical skills and proficiency in every aspect of molding process.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, X-bar and R charts, let-down ratios.
  • Ability to work independently and within group settings.
  • Knowledge of injection molding a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to fill in for production supervisors on different shifts as required.
  • Acceptable attendance record.

Physical Demands

  • Continuously lift or move light material (up to 10 lbs).
  • Frequently lift or move average-weight material (25–60 lbs).
  • Occasionally lift or move heavy material (over 60 lbs).
  • Climb railcars, ladders, and steep stairs.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and shading.
