Process Tech Blow Molding - 2nd shift

Starting wage: $25.00–$28.00 per hour. Wage negotiable above starting range with blow-mold specific processing and technical experience. Availability for second shift is critical.

Responsibilities

• Provide mold and fixture preventive maintenance
• Set up, test, and document new tools and materials to produce acceptable product
• Maintain fixture and secondary equipment in working order
• Store and document molds and fixtures
• Change mold inserts and secondary equipment inserts/nesting as equipment requires
• Diagnose (troubleshoot) secondary equipment problems
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employer, customers, and suppliers
• Uphold a strong desire to learn new and changing technologies
• Stand and walk for periods of eight hours at a time
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs or more, using good judgment in determining the safest method and equipment
• Perform color and shading distinction, with near vision at 12 inches or more and far vision at 20 ft or more (corrective lenses required if needed)
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Perform basic math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, X-bar and R charts, let-down ratios
• Work independently and within group settings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Extreme proficiency in every aspect of molding process
• Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems and controls
• High level of mechanical skills
• Acceptable attendance record
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of injection molding a plus

Physical Demands

• Continuously lift or move light weight material (up to 10 pounds)
• Frequently lift or move average weight material (25–60 pounds)
• Occasionally lift or move heavy weight material (over 60 pounds)
• Ability to climb railcars, ladders, and steep stairs
