About the role
The Mold Setter is responsible for assuring that injection molding machines are set up and running to quality standards and meeting production and scrap goals, under the direction of the Molding Manager and Shift team Leader.
Responsibilities
- Check production process against documented process, which includes all support equipment including blenders, grinders, dryers etc.
- Perform set ups on single and two shots tools
- Load programs install EOAT and troubleshoot for robotic/automation systems
- Perform set-up and troubleshoot for injection molding
- Utilize in cavity mold sensors for troubleshooting and matching processes
- Verify settings are accurate
- Inspect parts in accordance with established quality plans
- Follow machine shut down procedures, including closing hopper throat valve, turning off heating and cooling systems, retracting carriage and purging machine, and ensuring machines and areas around them are clean and free of debris
Requirements
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate in English required
- High school diploma or equivalency, required
- 3+ years’ experience as a Mold Setter preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent mechanical skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
