Process Sustaining Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area in Crystal Growth.
• Maintain records of calibration and verification of measurement devices used in manufacturing documents.
• Own standard operating procedures and associated trainings for manufacturing processes.
• Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products.
• Develop and conduct statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical causes of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
• Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure processes and designs are compatible.
• Participate in internal and external IATF audits and ensure all control documentations (PFD, PFMEA, and PCP) are up to date.
• Collaborate with downstream departments, facilities, logistics, and software teams to resolve interruptions to production.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality management systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software.
• Experience with SQL preferred.
