Process Safety Management Coordinator

About the role
The role is based in Philadelphia, PA (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring proper documentation and risk evaluation
- Coordinate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and track action items through completion
- Ensure PSM program compliance and maintain audit readiness at all times
- Support and lead internal and external safety audits, resolving findings promptly
- Develop, maintain, and improve PSM documentation, procedures, and training materials
- Conduct employee training sessions on process safety practices and program updates
- Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Oversee Mechanical Integrity programs to ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new and modified equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in Process Safety Management within a chemical manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations
- Proven ability to lead risk assessments and hazard analysis initiatives
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Able to interpret technical drawings and process flow diagrams
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Qualifications
Experience leading regulatory audits and driving compliance improvements
Familiarity with process safety or EHS management systems/software
Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement initiatives in PSM programs
Skills
