About the role

The Process Orchestration Engineer will design, build, and support integrations and automated workflows across G.E.H.A’s enterprise. This role focuses on integration-driven scripting and workflow orchestration, with scripts executing within and alongside Control M job streams. The ideal candidate will partner closely with IT, data, and business teams, taking ownership of automation that keeps critical processes running.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated workflows that connect systems, data, and teams
  • Design, build, and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) that integrate systems, data, and services
  • Integrate scripts into Control-M job streams, including dependencies, scheduling logic, and failure handling
  • Work with APIs, files, and structured data formats (JSON, XML) to support system-to-system automation
  • Own and evolve G.E.H.A’s orchestration platforms (Control-M on-prem and SaaS)
  • Learn and apply enterprise job-scheduling and orchestration patterns
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data and process flows across systems and improve reliability over time
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map and optimize business processes
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand process needs and translate them into automated solutions
  • Contribute to workflow documentation, runbooks, and support materials
  • Maintain on-prem software and services as required
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support mission-critical systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical role (development, automation, operations, integration, or similar)
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one language (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • Practical experience working within an SDLC (requirements, testing, deployments, version control)
  • Familiarity with APIs, web services, and data formats such as JSON and XML
  • Working knowledge of Git and modern development workflows
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

  • Natural curiosity, wanting to understand how and why systems work, not just that they do
  • Excited by the idea of making complex systems simpler and smarter
  • Willing to ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously improve your technical depth

Skills

  • Experience with job scheduling or orchestration platforms (Control-M, Airflow, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD concepts
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and with security best practices
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (healthcare, insurance, finance)
