Process Operator-Swing Shift

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in regular periodic Environmental, Health, and Safety training.
• Maintain a safe work environment by reporting potential safety issues and participating in daily cleaning of work areas.
• Collect daily samples of assigned process stream and process samples in laboratory by following established Standard Operating Procedures.
• Understand acceptable operating parameters and recognize and report unacceptable variances to appropriate personnel.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant operations including start up, shut down, and other plant processes.
• Participate in routine preventative maintenance of assigned area.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment defects and notify Process Lead when required.
• Utilize Distributed Control System (DCS) to operate the plant and track key performance indicators and make necessary adjustments.
• Infrequent use of equipment to include: forklift, man lift, scissor lift, skid-steer, etc.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Able to work 12 hour shifts, rotating nights and days, and every other weekend.
• Able to work outdoors in all seasons and work at heights.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; hear and speak; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include correctable vision to complete work in a safe manner.

Compensation & Benefits

• The starting wage for this position is $32/hour, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience and qualifications.
