About the role
As a Process Operator I, you will operate Production equipment safely and effectively to create flavor batches that meet all health and safety standards. You will interact with Production, Quality, Planning and Purchasing, Sales, and other internal departments as needed.
Key competencies: Analytical Skills, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Mathematical Skills including Weights and Conversions, and Computer Skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strict adherence to equipment SOPs, GMP standards, food & flavor regulations (kosher), and documentation requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including use of engineering controls and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.
- Operate Production equipment according to product manufacturing instructions to produce high-quality product in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Utilize equipment and facility computer programs to effectively maintain process and material data related to manufacturing requirements.
- Store ingredients in the proper location with the proper closure of partial ingredients to prevent contamination.
- Assure proper documentation is reported including amounts used, lot numbers, yields, metal detection, etc.
- Label raw materials, finished goods, and supplies properly.
- Maintain at least a “Quality Contributor” rating throughout the year as an Operator.
- Actively participate in periodic continuous improvement and training sessions to increase understanding of, and abilities related to, safety, quality, productivity, materials, and equipment operation.
- Assure proper cleaning of equipment and work area and complete sanitation logs.
- Participate in education/training about Mane’s environmental commitments and apply this knowledge to job-related responsibilities.
- Engage in awareness and practical training relevant to job-specific environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with PLC/distributive computer controls.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
- Flavor industry experience desired.
- Computer literate.
