Process Operator, Decatur, IL
About the role
As a Primient Process Operator, you will be a vital part of the team owning your part of the process. We have many different types of operator roles, ranging from monitoring equipment performance and performing preventative maintenance to running laboratory samples, making adjustments, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with your team, engineers, and management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to keep operations running safely and within specification.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Run laboratory samples.
- Work closely with your team, engineers, and management to ensure high-quality product delivery to customers.
- Handle various physical tasks such as operating packaging equipment, loading railcars and bulk trucks, and performing rover duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for safety, both for yourself and your co-workers, as well as food safety due to the nature of our products.
Qualifications
- Must pass a computer test, drug screen, and background check.
- Successful candidates must complete a 120-day probation period.
Skills
- Strong focus on safety.
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
- Experience with handling heavy lifting and moving objects.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.

Location/Environment
We are in Decatur, IL. The operator position could be in any of our 5 different processing units, each focusing on different products but similar environments. Work both inside and out, potentially exposed to noise, dust, chemicals, hot liquids, and extreme temperatures.
