Process Operator

About the role

Lamb Weston is a leading manufacturer in the industry, inspiring and bringing people together with foods they love and trust. As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for proper monitoring, maintaining, and operation of process equipment located in the PPCA, as well as monitoring, maintaining, and operation of freeze tunnel equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment conditions and involve maintenance and sanitation as needed.
• Communicate with the Process Lead and Production Supervisor to resolve issues.
• Properly and adequately document settings, actions, issues, and defects on proper forms.
• Confer with other Leads to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged with the freezing process.
• Assist in training and give direction to team members in process operations and cleaning.
• Enforce safety, quality, and sanitation procedures and regulations.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Operating and adjusting Genius Sorters.
• Navigate through HMI panels screens for safe, efficient startup and shut down operation of equipment including Blanchers, Chillers, Sorters, Tunnels.
• Other tasks as assigned from Production lead, B&R supervisor, or shift Manager.

Requirements

• Experience in a frozen food manufacturing facility required.
• Experience with pea, corn, carrot, and potato equipment in a frozen food facility a plus.
• Experience leading and directing people.
• Ability to visually monitor and read operating screens.
• Safety-oriented.
• Excellent communications skills, bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to give and follow directions.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work as a team.

Pay

A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is $24.25.
