Process Operator

About the role

This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Typical Work Day

• Execute processes and operate all equipment of a designated area; departments may include preparation, refinery, extraction, steam generation, biodiesel, and grain drying.
• Monitor equipment, operating control systems, process samples, and utilize computer systems to input and record data as necessary.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
• Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork‑focused environment.
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
• Physical ability to perform job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lb, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.) using personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) and confined spaces.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience.
• Experience in production and/or a similar military environment.
• Experience with continuous‑flow process environments, such as crush, refinery, or biodiesel operations.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and/or automated computer systems, such as Human Machine Interface (HMI).

Compensation

$33.05 per hour

Schedule

Full‑time position with rotating shifts.
