Process Mechanical Installer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer to join our Utah Division in the Eagle Mountain area.

Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications
• Lay out large and small diameter mechanical piping and equipment such as Clarifier, Filters, Chemical Rooms, Aeration Basin System, Influent Fine Screens, and Pumps
• Monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors
• Assist the Project Superintendent in monitoring project labor
• Understand the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring
• Apply knowledge of crane rigging and signaling
• Work with various process piping materials and connections (PVC, Steel, SST, DIP)
• Operate forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift
• Perform any and all other assigned duties

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least five years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects
• Ability to communicate verbally with others on-site, in person, and over the telephone
• Ability to read printed materials, signs, and directions
• Stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle, or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery, and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift overhead
• Capability to traverse around and safely navigate various construction sites
• Willingness to work outside, frequently for long periods, in all weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to work in environments with exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, viruses or other pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines, and dust/debris
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen is required

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
