This is a second shift position (3:00pm-11:30pm Monday - Friday) with some overtime required.

Set-up and troubleshoot blow molding machines and support equipment.
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and annual scheduled preventative maintenance on machines.
Operate Vacuum Loader Systems, automatic Converter System and Sorting Room equipment as required.
Assist in Packer/Inspector, Quality Control, Material and Sorting Room operations as outlined in the Job Competencies for the Position of Process Mechanic.
Assist and substitute as needed in the materials department.
Assist in Mold Inspection as assigned.

Demonstrated strong skills in set-up and repair in the plastics industry strongly preferred.
Broad theoretical knowledge and mechanical experience in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical.
Good mathematical skills to perform shop calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Strong command of the written language, to include technical manuals.
Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Understand and effectively be able to use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Ability to read and interpret cap drawings and blueprints, and effectively utilize them in performing job duties, as well as in determining whether the product meets quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to make well thought out decisions and ensure appropriate courses of action are taken.
Must provide own basic mechanic hand tools to perform the required job duties effectively and as assigned.
Vision must be correctable to '20-20' to read all necessary work related materials and visually identify defects in products being produced.
Must be able to perceive and accurately identify differences in colors and shadings.
Hearing acuity sufficient to understand spoken instructions or phone conversations in a factory environment.
