Process Improvment Engineer - Dairy

Key Responsibilities

• Reduce changeover times
• Troubleshoot operational issues
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain plant industrial systems at optimum efficiency
• Identify and eliminate non-value-added steps using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and 5S methodologies
• Develop and implement lean metrics and visual indicators for line efficiencies
• Deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) supporting the manufacturing strategy
• Lead and coach management and continuous improvement teams through Lean principles and practices
• Conduct internal lean manufacturing assessments and develop improvement plans
• Ensure controls and metrics are in place to monitor continuous improvement initiatives
• Define and own manufacturing process control plans
• Set up in-process measurement systems
• Perform process capability studies to predict manufacturing process trends and meet customer specifications

Knowledge & Experience

• Degree or Certification in Engineering or equivalent work experience required
• 2-6 years of Engineering experience in dairy manufacturing or food manufacturing
• Experience within the food industry or a related field (optional)
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA)
• Project management experience (optional)
• Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills for cross-functional team effectiveness
