Process Improvement Specialist, SSD ACES
About the role
The Field ACES Process Improvement Specialist will drive initiatives focused in improving site’s and region’s capacity, cost, quality and customer experience. Those initiatives include benchmarking through auditing and leadership coaching, standard-work optimization, and process improvement piloting and implementation. In addition, the process improvement specialist will act as the link between the region to the SSD Field Programs team, and will manage escalations, intakes, deep-dives and approvals to resolve barriers and issues the region is facing.
Responsibilities
- Complete monthly benchmarking cycles to drive site level process path improvements.
- Drive selected KPIs through flagging in regional DBR/WBR and sending weekly recaps.
- Support Field Programs team pilots in the region.
- Lead a quarterly regional improvement project tackling a problem or opportunity aligned on with the GM.
- Own an annual network improvement project.
- Participate in quarterly SSD ACES process paths kaizens.
- Develop trust relationships with all OMs, SLs, and GMs in the region.
- Mentor leaders from the region and support interviewing talent to the region when possible.
Requirements
This role requires 50%-80% travel in the US. The Process Improvement Specialist will spend roughly 50% of the time on the floor – auditing, coaching and collecting feedback from front line leaders. They will travel regularly within their region in order to visit the sites on quarterly basis. They will engage with all levels of leadership on the operations floor to identify gaps in knowledge and provide guidance in department performance and standard work mechanisms. They will be an active participant in regional DBRs, WBRs and cost calls to understand bridges and goals and will communicate relevant network changes. They will partner with Field Programs team to drive assigned process path pilots and process improvements across region and network. They will conduct regular 1:1s with GM and each of the region's site leaders, present sites’ performance and opportunities to SSD ACES selected KPIs, benchmarking cycles progress, project updates and collects feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field.
- Experience working in an operations, supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting role.
- Experience in lean or six sigma methodologies for operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design.
- Experience handling multiple competing priorities and complex projects with multiple stakeholders (e.g., definition of accurate network expansion plans, vendor development, quality assurance, design and cost improvement, team and stakeholder engagement).

Pay
Base salary range for this position is $120,900.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually.
Schedule
Full-time, remote work with some travel required.
