The Process Improvement Professional 2 analyzes, measures the effectiveness of existing business processes, and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements. This role involves varied work assignments that frequently require interpretation and independent determination of appropriate courses of action.

About the role

This position reports to the Program Delivery Lead. The Process Improvement Professional 2 researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. They collect and analyze process data to initiate, develop, and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced cost. The role also involves determining how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes. Specialization may include benchmarking, business process analysis and re-engineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements.

Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction while receiving guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes.

  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
  • Collect and analyze process data to recommend business practices and procedures that enhance safety, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Determine how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes.
  • Specialize in areas such as benchmarking, business process analysis, re-engineering, change management, and process-driven systems requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of technical experience.
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote position with the following requirements:

  • Self-provided internet service must meet minimum criteria: download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps (wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection suggested).
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
  • Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

Pay

The pay range for this full-time position (40 hours per week) is $65,000 - $88,600 per year. The range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
