Process Improvement Engineer- Rolling
Responsibilities
- Cook up and execute Lean Manufacturing principles across the department’s material flow paths.
- Gain a comprehensive grasp of the department’s manufacturing process to succeed.
- Primarily concentrate on tactical projects in safety, recovery enhancement, training, and production coordination.
- Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects, reliability excellence, and support problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
- Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc., for data analysis to drive process improvements and standardization.
- Lead a focus team to enhance aerospace quality on Airforce Mill.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3 years of previous manufacturing experience.
- Exceptional candidates should have 6 years of previous manufacturing experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with the application of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience identifying and assisting in resolving process-related problems.
- Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience).
About the Role
The Process Improvement Engineer works primarily during daytime shifts Monday through Friday, but must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role.
