Principal Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
- Coach and manage Process Engineers in developing and improving the manufacturing processes, procedures, and flow diagram for server and rack products.
- Provide leadership for manufacturing engineers and responsible for their training and development.
- Drive projects to improve process reliability, process flow, quality & FPY, improve productivity, and reduce operational cycle times and costs.
- Owner for creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Provide resources/labor and production capacity analysis.
- Provide feedback on requirements and needs to meet production schedule.
- Review, evaluate, and approve manufacturing infrastructure needs and costs.
- Review, evaluate, and approve change orders.
- Work with NPI team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the introduction processes, documents, material preparations, and tooling/fixtures through the following activities:
- WO BOM Validation
- Shop Floor Control System Routing
- Production Flow Diagram
- Create, validate, and maintain Work Instructions
- Pack Out Instructions
- Accountable for Change Order Management including:
- Assess, document and communicate all production floor and/or customer driven changes.
- Initiate and follow up with ECN/MCO changes and disposition.
- Update all applicable work instructions.
- Implement ECO/MCO changes in production; provide training to line operators.
Education And Work Experience
- BS degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in manufacturing engineering management role

- Strong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean philosophies and experienced in practicing those applications.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- 6 Sigma Green Belt certified, Black Belt is a plus
- Compute and/or Network server/rack manufacturing experience is a plus

Working Conditions
- Flexibility to travel to other internal and external sites, as needed (Domestic & International).
- Fast paced work environment
- Certain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.
Physical Demands
- Extensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity.
- Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required.
- Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
Additional Comments
- Schedule: 8-hour shift (flexibility to work longer shifts if needed)
- Monday to Friday, with weekend availability opportunities.
