About the role
Join Garver's Water Design Center (WDC) in Fayetteville, AR as a Process Engineering Intern. This is an opportunity for an ambitious engineering student to gain hands-on experience in water and wastewater treatment facility planning and design, working alongside a close-knit team of experts dedicated to making a tangible difference in communities across the region.
Responsibilities
- Assist with water and wastewater treatment plant assessment and design.
- Support improvements and retrofitting of existing treatment facilities.
- Assist in the design of water and wastewater treatment processes, including:
- Development of detailed designs for treatment facilities.
- Data review and analysis.
- Mass balance, hydraulic modeling, and process modeling.
- Design of water and wastewater treatment equipment such as large-scale blowers, pumps, filters, membranes, and UV disinfection systems.
Garver Launch Program
- Engage daily with fellow interns and industry professionals to build your network.
- Participate in Garver's wellness program to prioritize overall well-being.
- Give back to the community through volunteer activities as part of Garver Gives.
- Collaborate with Garver’s Learning and Development team for tailored training, skills-based courses, and professional growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Pursuing an environmental engineering, biological engineering, civil engineering, or chemical engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position, with duties primarily performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations for work-related tasks or meetings may be required.
