Process Engineer Spring Co-op
About the role
Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team. This position will report directly to the technology department’s co-op coordinator. As a Chemical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Technology team, gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom. Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.
Location: Corpus Christi, TX. Candidates must commit to at least six (6) months as a co-op, with a preferred first term of Spring 2027.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvement plans
- Conducting failure analysis investigations
- Participating in process safety management activities
- Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
Requirements
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
- 3.2 GPA or above
- Enthusiasm about working in a chemical plant environment
