Process Engineer III
Gray AES is seeking a Process Engineer III based in one of our offices located in Atlanta, GA, Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, or Lexington, KY.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex process design efforts, applying advanced engineering concepts to develop process systems for food and beverage applications.
- Execute the full scope of project work, including design, budgeting, implementation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of processing systems.
- Work closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure project goals are aligned and executed successfully.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices to enhance engineering quality and project deliverables.
- Provide support for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational optimization to ensure system performance meets design specifications.
- Develop technical documentation, including equipment lists, flow diagrams, and process narratives.
- Travel required for site audits, installations, and customer meetings as per project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on process systems.
- Demonstrated experience in detailed process design for food and beverage processing lines.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and customers.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regular use of hands, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to variable conditions during site visits.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms, talk, or hear.
- May occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
- Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled.
- Overtime may be required.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
