Position Summary
The Process Engineer II will provide engineering support for manufacturing and cleaning operations while helping prepare the facility for production launch. This role will work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and quality teams to develop and implement robust processes, optimize production efficiency within clean room and production environments, and maintain compliance with company and customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support facility startup activities and production readiness initiatives for new manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with Chemicals and Clean room materials and processes.
- Develops and maintains eRecipes, process work instructions, SOPs, etc. as necessary to support production workload.
- Develops/maintains/evaluates production tooling (fixtures, baskets, etc.) required for efficient, effective part processing.
- Maintains/monitors work environments to ensure they are adequate for the tasks being performed, preserve safe work practices, and meet housekeeping requirements.
- Monitors effectiveness of production processes and support problem resolution as it relates to technical evaluation of parts processed.
- Maintains/monitors process controls (pressures, temperatures, concentration, contamination, etc.) through SPC.
- Participates in customer audits, complaint resolution, costs analysis/time study as they relate to sales/marketing efforts.
- Liaises with Engineering Manager or System Engineering Group to ensure effective procedures and BKMs are implemented at the sites.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Assessing processes for their relevance, and assessing the adequacy of engineering equipment.
- Reviewing existing data (including lab analysis) to see if more research and information need to be collected.
- Designing, installing and commissioning new production units, monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes.
- Conducting process development experiments to scale in a laboratory environment as directed by the Director of R&D as required.
- Preparing reports, flow diagrams and charts.
Education/Certification Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with at least two years experience within the engineering function of semiconductor processing or systems manufacturing company.
Experience Requirement
- 1-5+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.
