Main Function

Provide process engineering support for the development, optimization, and execution of capital and operational projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and support process design specifications, including heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, hydraulic analyses, utility balances, and process control philosophies.
  • Affiliate in process optimization studies to identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost reductions, increased efficiency, and enhanced safety performance.
  • Support front-end engineering and detailed design activities by reviewing engineering contractor deliverables and ensuring alignment with company standards, project specifications, and operational requirements.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design verification activities, and multidisciplinary project meetings.
  • Contribute to Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, risk assessments, and other process safety reviews for new or modified facilities.
  • Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities, as required.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of engineering best practices.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, required.
  • Experience in the petroleum refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, engineering studies, or plant operations.
  • Knowledge of process engineering principles, equipment design, process safety, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software applications.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, changing priorities, and dynamic project environments.
  • Freshman English communication skills (written and verbal), particularly in technical and business environments.
