Process Engineer - IGT

Responsibilities

• Develops and debugs processes for production and developmental castings.
• Actively pursues the continuous improvement of existing processes.
• Supplies technical support to customers regarding technical concerns.
• Interacts with customers to address their technical issues.

Essential Functions And Job Responsibilities

• Fulfills Howmet’s Safety Regulations and work Rules Handbook.
• Complies with all company attendance policies and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Reads, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures.
• Effectively writes reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• Presents information and responds to questions from various groups.
• Applies mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
• Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of variables in situations where standardization does not exist.
• Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization to achieve goals.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated to continuously drive improvement in assigned portfolio of parts.
• Leadership ability is desired as this position benefits from being an influential engineer.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 2 years' experience in Engineering.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university. Investment casting experience. Coursework or equivalent experience in basic statistical and analytical tools. 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
