Process Engineer I

McGard LLC is a leading company in the automotive industry seeking a highly talented and motivated Process Engineer I to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects of McGard/L. D. McCauley manufacturing, sorting, and assembly processes.
• Ensure the achievement of continuous improvement within area of expertise, as well as areas of business, to remain at the forefront of meeting Company objectives.
• Work closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, Assembly, and QA.
• Lead process improvement teams to reduce scrap, increase utilization, improve throughput, and improve safety.
• Research and investigate new technologies to establish new processes, obtain process improvements, and reduce costs.
• Perform cost analysis to determine process costs or cost savings.
• Support Quality System procedures.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

Requirements

• BSME, BSIE, BSCE, BSEE, or related curriculum preferred.
• Proficient in MS office.
• Experience with Minitab a plus.
• Experience with 2D drawings.

Skills

• Effective communication in English, both written and orally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, six sigma tools, and engineering problem solving skills.
• Ability to perform cost analysis and internal rates of return.
• Experience with process development, tooling, and equipment design.
