About the role

Applies scientific theory and manages the technical aspects of the unit's product line. Leads research, development, and implementation of new products and extensions/enhancements to existing products. Interacts with key customers to resolve complex process engineering issues. Oversees alpha engineering programs and product releases. Participates in strategic planning to align R&D with the business plan. Identifies, selects, and works with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Leads practical applications of scientific theory and unusually complex processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the unit's product line
  • Leads research, development, and implementation in new products and extensions or enhancements to existing product line
  • Interacts with key customers to resolve unusually complex process engineering issues for the unit's product line to address our customers High Value Problems (HVP)
  • Leads alpha engineering program regarding all process technology related issues for the units product line
  • Responsible for alpha and beta product release for business unit's product line
  • Participates in strategic planning to integrate research and development processes with both the unit and the Product Business Group's overall business plan
  • Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers

Requirements

Recognized as “guru” or external expert in a function. Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field. Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business. Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership. Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions. Impacts business direction through the development of innovative services or products. Negotiates with senior management, customers, regulators or vendors to influence decisions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in process engineering, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing. Leadership experience in a technical or managerial role. Technical certifications in relevant fields are a plus.

Skills

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, and proficiency in technical writing and communication. Proficiency in process engineering software and tools. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

$176,000.00 - $242,000.00 annually

Schedule

Full-time position with occasional travel required (10%)
