About the role
The Mosaic Company is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern to work at the Four Corners site in Bradley, FL during the summer of 2027. This position will provide hands-on experience in process engineering, assisting with facility improvements and enhancing product quality.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting to identify root cause of problems
- Tracing of pipes and equipment in the field to correlate with existing drawings
- Absisting with equipment efficiency tests and developing process flow diagrams
- Computer modeling
- Assist turnaround and repair day equipment inspections as required
- Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization
- Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment
- Adhere to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles, and priorities
Requirements
- Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Mining Engineer
- 2.75 GPA or higher
- Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment
- 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills are required
- Experience working in a team environment is a must
- Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
- Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
Skills
- Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
- Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally
- Able to climb stairs and work at various heights
- Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials
- Able to hear, with or without correction
- Able to read, write and understand basic English
- Able to use fine hand motor skills
- Able to wear a respirator
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Pay
Competitive pay offered for this full-time Co-Op/Internship position.
Schedule
Term May 10 to August 20, 2027. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week. In person or remote. 9/80 schedule if applicable.
