Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

The Mosaic Company is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern for their summer 2027 program. This position will be based at the Four Corners site in Bradley, FL, with regular travel to other FL sites. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting to identify root cause of problems
• Tracing of pipes and equipment in the field to correlate with the existing drawing
• Absisting with equipment efficiency tests and developing a process flow diagram for a new opportunity
• Mass and energy balances for various types of chemical processes
• Computer modeling
• Assist Turnaround and Repair Day equipment inspections as required
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment
• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies

Requirements

• Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and/or Mining Engineer
• 2.75 GPA or higher
• Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office
• Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required
• Experience working in a team environment is a must
• Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus

Skills

• Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments

Pay

• Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week
