About the role

As our Process Engineer, you will be part of a knowledgeable and diverse operations team. You'll collaborate with operators to address troubleshooting, implement lean manufacturing principles, make decisions, interpret blueprints, optimize line balancing, and ensure error prevention in operations. You will recommend changes or upgrades on equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources, including labor and raw materials. Additionally, you will provide direct support to business development functions as well as operations on existing products.

Responsibilities

• Continuously develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, focusing on bulk cable and cable assembly production design and optimization.
• Serve as the technical lead for new product launches and equipment upgrades, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve line balancing and decrease scrap as a percentage of sales.
• Maintain and update key portions of the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, and evaluate procedures for new designs prior to release for manufacturing.
• Exhibit high levels of professional behavior, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and effective leadership.
• Collaborate extensively across the organization to ensure understanding of process changes and foster team engagement.
• Mentor others in creating a continuous improvement environment and communicate goals and objectives clearly.
• Work across departments to simplify processes and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Set and execute a functional strategy to achieve or exceed key performance results while serving as a cultural role model.
• Build a high-performing organization by training and developing top talent and establishing specific goals and objectives.
• Utilize autonomy to change or simplify processes to eliminate non-value-added activities and leverage available resources to meet objectives.
• Support product launch, line balancing, ECNs, product transfers, and blueprint interpretation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering/process engineering or manufacturing processes experience.
• Bachelor of Science in engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Material Science) from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent knowledge of bulk cable and cable assembly design, materials, components, processes, and testing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with product launch, line balancing, ECNs, product transfers, and blueprint interpretation.

Pay

The pay range for this position is up to $100,000 annually (DOE), plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
