Process Engineer
About the role
The Process Engineer role is critical to developing our factories toward World Class performance: zero defects, zero waste, zero losses, and digitally enabled ways of working. She/he will apply the full range of Focused Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified across Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment, Customer Service, Logistics, and operational performance. This role will support the FI UMS rollout by helping establish pillar governance, route maps, training approach, KPI/KAI tracking, project delivery, and collaboration with AM, PM, Quality, Safety, BPCD, PD, EEM, ES, and CSA pillars. The Process Engineer will also assess and improve the level of digitalization across pillar processes by moving manual and paper-based activities into integrated digital workflows, using platforms such as DFOS, BuildApp, MES, Cerebra, and project tracking tools where applicable. Working directly with line crews and pillar teams, the Process Engineer acts as a trainer and coach in phenomena identification, root cause analysis, countermeasure development, validation of process improvements, and establishment of revised basic conditions. A core deliverable is eliminating losses and waste, improving production efficiency, increasing line stability, strengthening digital adoption, and unlocking AI-enabled insights to accelerate UMS maturity, decision making, and sustainable performance improvement.
