About the role

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves developing new techniques, modifying existing processes, implementing process improvement projects, and introducing new products.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and improving existing manufacturing processes to increase safety, efficiency, and quality while reducing costs
  • Identifying, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to improve manufacturing processes
  • Performing failure analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions
  • Working closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production operations
  • Providing hands-on support on the shop floor, integrating new products and technologies, and supporting area-wide continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance
  • Providing training and support to end-users on new products, processes, equipment, and technologies
  • Investigating and resolving production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring robust and cost-effective solutions
  • Establishing metrics, collecting and analyzing data, and using statistical process control to monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Utilizing SAP to model, analyze, and improve business processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience
  • Ability to work on manufacturing and/or assembly floor
  • Technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities
  • Experience with MRP/ERP software
  • Proficient understanding of Project Management
  • Detailed oriented and adaptable
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MRP/ERP software, preferably SAP
  • Green or Blackbelt in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • CAD or Catia experience
  • CNC, automated, and robotics systems experience

Work Environment

  • Medium-to-large office environment
  • Manufacturing and/or machining environment
  • Fast-paced, with people and parts movement
  • Moderate to medium noise levels
  • Exposure to normal office environments and potential odors from chemicals and/or processes
  • Physically demanding; use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required

This position is 100% onsite and must meet export control compliance requirements. All applicants must be "U.S. persons" within the meaning of ITAR, defined as a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
