Process Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze and implement improvements in cost, quality, safety and delivery.
• Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
• Lead and/or provide input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes.
• Analyze existing and future production capacity requirements.
• Incorporate needs of production into project and process activities.
• Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.
• Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests.
• Support continuous improvement activities to address safety, quality and productivity for the assigned assembly lines.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develop recommendations accordingly.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial) or equivalent degree.
• 3 years supervisory experience OR 3+ years’ experience leading project teams.
• 3 + years in an engineering role.
• Strong & effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of core manufacturing practices.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• SAP experience.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and sales driven businesses.
• Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization.
• Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification(s).
