About the role
The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. They work with various teams to develop new techniques, modify existing processes, implement process improvement projects, and introduce new products.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase safety, efficiency, and quality while reducing costs
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve manufacturing processes
- Perform failure analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Work closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production operations
- Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, integrate new products and technologies, and support area-wide continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance
- Provide training and support to end-users on new products, processes, equipment, and technologies
- Investigate and resolve production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring robust and cost-effective solutions
- Establish metrics, collect and analyze data, and use statistical process control to monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Utilize SAP to model, analyze, and improve business processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience
- Ability to work on manufacturing and/or assembly floor
- Technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities
- Experience with MRP/ERP software
- Proficient understanding of Project Management
- Detailed oriented and adaptable
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MRP/ERP software, preferably SAP
- Green or Blackbelt in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- CAD or Catia experience
- CNC, automated, and robotics systems experience
Work Environment
- Medium-to-large office environment
- Manufacturing and/or machining environment
- Fast-paced, with people and parts movement
- Moderate to medium noise levels
- Exposure to normal office environments and potential odors from chemicals and/or processes
- Physically demanding; use of Personal Protective Equipment required

Pay
$110,000 - $170,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and education.
