Process Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with deep expertise in chemical process design, reaction chemistry, and scale-up from lab to commercial production. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who excels in developing P&IDs, executing complex projects, and driving cross-functional collaboration across global teams. This individual is a proactive problem solver who can translate technical requirements into efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes while supporting continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and scale-up of chemical processes across lab, pilot, and manufacturing
- Develop P&IDs and support pilot studies, process validation, and troubleshooting
- Optimize processes to improve yield, quality, efficiency, and cost
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enable successful technology transfer and commercialization
- Use modeling and data analysis tools to evaluate and enhance process performance
- Support capital projects, ensure safety and compliance, and maintain technical documentation
- Provide mentorship and contribute to global engineering initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in chemical process development, scale-up, or manufacturing 3 years expereience with a Masters.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated expertise in reaction chemistry and complex process troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with P&ID development and interpretation is required.

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is between $109,000 to $164,000 annually.
