About the role
Develop expertise in research and application of thermal spray coatings for thermal, wear and corrosion protection.
Align technical parameters with commercial project objectives to achieve desired outcomes.
Operate thermal spray equipment and designs/modifies tooling and fixturing for new and improved processes.
Analyze data and resolve technical challenges to drive product and process development forward.
Document experiments and maintain operating procedures, safety training and technical instructions.
Collaborate with customers and teams while contributing to productivity improvements using Lean and Six Sigma.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience in industrial, automotive or laboratory environments
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage tasks effectively
- Familiarity with thermal spray technologies is preferred
- Basic programming knowledge such as Python, MATLAB or C
- CAD/tooling experience like SolidWorks or Inventor
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs. and extended standing or sitting
