Responsibilities
- Support all safety and ergonomic improvement projects.
- Drive cost reduction through process improvement, tooling modification, scrap reduction, equipment changes, and material changes.
- Develop and manage a process-improvement project portfolio using analytical and statistical methods.
- Create documentation, sketches, and instructions for new or modified processes.
- Solve everyday production problems, improve efficiencies, and enhance overall plant functions.
- Work directly with production teams to develop and implement optimal methods and procedures.
- Assist with new material trials and the approval process.
- Support and manage capital projects.
- Lead startup of new products, production lines, and tooling; establish process parameters and standard operating procedures.
- Facilitate operator and maintenance training for required procedures and methods.
- Prepare and present reports to management.
- Support the maintenance team through data analysis, problem solving, and equipment-reliability projects.
- Administer the CMMS system for completion and tracking of maintenance work orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred).
