Your Role and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize ceramic manufacturing processes including powder preparation, sintering, grinding, and polishing.
- Evaluate new technologies and partner closely with Engineering, R&D, and Production to enhance product quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, FMEA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with vendors/suppliers and maintenance teams to specify, qualify, and optimize ceramic processing equipment.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process digitalization.
- Support commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement of new and existing equipment.
What is required for the role
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer in advanced ceramic manufacturing or semiconductor related processes are required. Master’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred but not required.
- Experience using manufacturing and analysis tools, such as Minitab, JMP, or equivalent.
- CAD/CAM and manufacturing execution systems (MES) are a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence colleagues and peers to achieve goals and drive decision making is required.
- Attention to detail, well-organized, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Track record of influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
