What You Will Do
- Utilizing SPC, statistical methods and data analysis to improve production processes including enhancements in yield, lowering costs and increasing manufacturing up time
- Assisting in new product development and maximizing manufacturing capabilities
- Leading complex projects in a team-based environment taking advantage of your excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to facilitate process improvements and teach others
- Working with customers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions (up to 10% travel can be expected)
- Training production operators and working collaboratively with them to improve processes
- Opportunity to develop expertise in float processes and equipment to support troubleshooting and process improvements
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Ceramic Engineering, or a related STEM degree plus 3 years' of manufacturing experience OR in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum 3 years’ experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating or supporting production processes in a manufacturing environment
- Experience utilizing statistical methods and data analysis to improve production processes
- Experience working with customers to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience driving process improvements by collaborating across multiple organizational levels and disciplines
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work autonomously on assigned projects
- 3+ years as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading 8Ds to help root cause problems and put corrective actions in place
Qualifications
