About the Role
Essity Feminine Care North America is seeking a Process Engineer for our manufacturing facility located in Dover, DE (Playtex plant). Responsibilities
- Support achievement of key metrics, including quality, safety, productivity, cost, and employee development, through process change and improvement.
- Apply process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, design of experiments, Lean manufacturing waste elimination studies, process capability studies, development and implementation of control plans, and FMEA’s.
- Define and develop process opportunities to reduce costs and maximize productivity.
- Create a link between operational requirements and material supplier capabilities.
- Support all facets of Operations with emphasis on improving productivity through higher efficiencies, reduced scrap, and optimized labor.
- Define key critical parameters and develop plans to control and improve.
- Provide data-based recommendations to both management and cross-functional teams.
- Work cross-departmentally to achieve results in a team environment.
- Support day-to-day activities in manufacturing operations while working on longer-term projects.
- Contribute to AM (Autonomous Maintenance), PM (Planned Maintenance), and FI (Focused Improvement) pillars by providing technical expertise, helping to drive improvements in equipment performance and process reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field preferred.
- One or more years' experience in a technical role in a manufacturing environment. Internship or Co-op could be substituted for experience requirement.
