Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across fixturing/clamping, CNC programs/parameters, and consumable tooling; drive root cause and lasting corrective actions.
- Create and implement mistake-proof (poka-yoke) fixtures using fixture maintenance tools or alternative methods to boost yield and minimize human error on high-scrap operations.
- Conduct time-and-motion studies to balance labor and define standardized work; build standard work charts and process capacity tables; reconcile actual performance to quoted models.
- Apply SPC and capability analysis to raise first-time yield to target levels.
- Lead NPI manufacturing planning, including tooling sourcing, routings, BOMs, and supporting documentation.
- Use data analytics (e.g., Power BI) to pinpoint performance gaps versus standards; implement method changes and track impact on scrap and rework.
- Employ APQP to identify quality risks and prevent scrap/escapes.
- Serve as the technical point of contact with customers, suppliers, and sister sites on processes, POs, specs, and drawings.
- Evaluate new equipment needs; perform analyses and ROI justifications.
- Champion and participate in continuous improvement/kaizen activities.
