Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and sustain fabrication process steps for yield, quality, cost and productivity
- Drive step-level process changes, validate new technology node readiness, evaluations and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Investigate yield and defectivity issues by tracking process performance with methods like FMEA, 8D, SPC, FDC, APC
- Apply data analytics to prevent recurring issues and minimize production downtime
- Manage qualifications and process control plans
- Hit production targets during ramp and transitions, and protect cycle time, throughput and product quality
- Partner and collaborate across functions (Process, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, Maintenance teams) to resolve issues
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Requirements
- Shown through education, internships, research, military, manufacturing, or professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced certification in a related technical field OR equivalent technical military experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience with SPC, FDC, FMEA, 8D
Qualifications
- Shown through education, internships, research, military, manufacturing, or professional experience.
- Semiconductor process development, process flow, recipe management
- Quality management methodologies such as SPC, FDC, FMEA, 8D
- Data analysis, interpreting results, continuous improvement
- Collaboration and teamwork across different functions
- Effective communication with a customer and stakeholder focus
- Takes ownership and initiative, adaptable to new environments
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking
Priorities
- Experience or exposure to one or more of: Semiconductor process areas (Photo, CVD, PVD, Diffusion, Implant, Etch, CMP, Wet), High-volume manufacturing, DRAM development, SPC, FDC, APC, Metrology & inspection, JMP & data analytics, Machine learning, Process qualification
