What You'll Do Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities where applicableDrive process improvements based on performance analysis and lessons learnedProvide technical support regarding plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant wide safetyRecommend and implement process improvementsDevelop solutions and improvements to equipment and processesResponsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areasCollaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment What You'll Need Minimum of 5 years experience leading and driving manufacturing process improvements. Heavy industry experience a plus.Experience in Polymer extrusion, plastic additives, polymer testing, R&D experimentation and analysis is a plusPrior experience in successful implementation of lean manufacturing/5S and productivity improvement initiatives is requiredAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to work with teams and different departmentsAbility to track, chart, and improve processesAbility to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goalsAble to communicate, verbally and written, with operators, supervisors, maintenance, suppliers, management, and plant support staffAble to prioritize, plan and drive issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to closure Your Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.A degree in Science or Engineering (Polymer, Chemical, or Mechanical) is strongly preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
