About the role
The Process Engineer will apply engineering techniques to improve complex manufacturing processes and products. You will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement, and project management skills as a contributing team member on complex operational issues. Responsibilities include overseeing external third parties, improving process stability and capability, reducing variability, and mitigating risks while achieving cost and efficiency targets. You will work under minimal supervision, handling complex issues independently.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze complex operational data and trends to improve performance and reporting processes for manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance leadership to plan and schedule maintenance of complex plant systems using reliability models and predictive technologies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to monitor and manage variable and fixed costs at the site.
- Plan and monitor production shutdowns, ensuring legal and preventive maintenance compliance.
- Analyze capital expenditures and project designs to identify cost-effective, high-quality, and reliable solutions.
- Provide oversight to third-party personnel, setting priorities, monitoring safety, and improving their skills.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to recommend benchmark practices and create operational strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
- Experience with Crush soy process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong project management aptitude and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering subject matter.
- Experience managing PSM (Process Safety Management).
