Process Engineer
About the role
As a Process Engineer, you will apply process and project engineering techniques to improve moderately complex manufacturing processes and products. You will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement techniques, and project management skills, contributing to a team focused on moderately complex operational issues. Your role will involve guiding and overseeing external third parties, improving process stability, capability, and availability, and reducing variability and risks. You will help achieve cost and efficiency targets while ensuring safety, sustainability, and compliance with business obligations.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze moderately complex operational data and trends to develop recommendations and plans for improving manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Ensure consistent monitoring and early warning indicators for process performance.
- Execute strategies to develop and coordinate operational aspects of assigned projects, particularly in edible oils manufacturing.
- Monitor project progress, including budgets and schedules, to address issues and meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
- Partner with other departments to identify cost-effective approaches for higher quality and reliable outcomes.
- Collaborate with personnel across the site or business to benchmark practices and execute improvement strategies.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of engineering subject matter.
- Project management experience.
- Minimum of two years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, including continuous improvement experience or certifications.
- Understanding of PI (data historian), ACAD (AutoCAD), and MS Project.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing third-party resources to deliver business results.
- Previous experience with construction, commissioning, and startup of projects and/or process improvements.

Pay
The expected salary for this position is $78,000 - $120,000, depending on factors such as location, certifications, education, and experience.
