Process Engineer

Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Process Engineer - Industrial in Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; or Birmingham, AL. The Process Engineer will encourage a culture focused on effective project delivery by supporting our clients, project teams, and company in facilitating and coordinating the client’s equipment and process.

Responsibilities

• Leads project teams including owner, design team, and trade partners with an integrated approach to achieving scope, schedule, and budget alignment
• Responsible for establishing an integrated team experience through role clarity, effective communication strategy, and facilitating a culture that fosters collaboration
• Facilitate and collaborate with internal departments and project teams
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration during design, construction, commissioning, and start-up
• Facilitate design/engineering and decision planning with the construction team, design team, and owner
• Manage, mentor, and guide design team members and preconstruction team members to ensure clear direction and execution
• Manage, mentor, and guide design assist trade partners to ensure effective integration with the project team
• Work with project teams to develop conceptual process design/engineering solutions for industrial pursuits
• Review design team’s specifications, drawings, and P&IDs
• Ensure design meets owner’s needs, quality, and program

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other equivalent field
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• 4+ years experience in group facilitation and implementing collaborative delivery is preferred
• Specific experience in industrial management design
• Specific experience in process layout, process design, cleanroom, food and beverage, or packaging is preferred
• Strong CAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Revit capability preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel
