Process Engineer

About the role

A Process Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture complex sheet metal fabrications and complex machined assemblies for the aerospace and land-based industries. This is a senior-level position requiring at least 7 years of aerospace engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop written processes in accordance with customer-supplied drawings to produce end product that meets blueprint and quality requirements.
• Work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to identify needs for process improvements and provide engineering solutions to identified problems.
• Responsible for product life cycle from PO receipt until the shipment of end product, including bill of material creation, tooling development, creating and maintaining shop routings and operation sheets.
• Provide shop technical support through the development and production cycle while maintaining quality requirements; provide interim maintenance to already developed product when necessary.
• Communicate with both internal and external customers, relaying technical information and providing program management support.
• Follow quality system procedures as required.

Requirements

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent.
• Seven years minimum of relevant aerospace engineering experience; tool design experience beneficial but not required.
• Strong background in blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretation.
• Experience with 3D (Siemens NX) or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay

$75,000 - $105,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
